I haven't posted monthly updates because to be quite honest it has been a very busy 4 months! I'm not sure how other moms are able to keep up with managing their blog along with the every day chores on top of taking care of a newborn. Personally I had to put the blogging aside for a bit. (Hopefully I will be posting more.) I especially would like to post monthly updates on Molly as the first year is full of milestones!
To my little miss Molly:
It's hard to believe you are already 4 months old. I feel blessed that I have been able to be home and experience this time with you. {It will definitely be hard returning to work in 2 months!} You are growing so quickly. Being that you were premature the doctors have told mommy that you may take longer to reach the milestones that other babies your age are reaching. However, as determined as you are you are already proving them wrong! I'm so proud of you!
Eating: Currently you eat every 3-4 hours (sometimes 1-2 if you are going through a growth spurt.)
Sleeping: Unfortunately you haven't slept through the night yet.. we are hoping this comes soon as mommy would love to get some extra sleep. It can be tiring wake up oh so many times during the night, but it is definitely worth it to see your sweet face.
Weight: 10lbs 3oz
Length: 22 inches
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Still blue, but I think that will eventually change.
Milestones/Highlights: This past month you have been learning so much! You love playing in your play gym that grammy got you for Christmas. On November 30th you
smiled for the first time. (You were almost 3 months old) Mommy was showing you your new red coat and a huge smile crept across your face. The next morning you kept smiling at Pop-pop.
On New Year's Eve, Mommy was folding laundry and you were practicing your tummy time. The next thing we knew
you rolled over!!! You were just as surprised as mommy was. The next day every time I put you on your tummy you would roll over. The doctor was very impressed that you did this already!
This month was also when you starting babbling,
every day and night! You are just like your mommy and LOVE to talk. And we love to listen!
I am really looking forward to all of the things you are going to learn and do this next month!
