Crockpot Stovetop Chicken *Amazing!*

I tried a new recipe last week that I randomly found on another blog and loved it!! The best part.. it only has 5 ingredients!

Ingredients
  • 4 thawed chicken breasts
  • 6oz. package of Stove Top stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup water
Only 5 ingredients and it tastes amazing.

First place the chicken in the bottle of the crockpot. Then pour the package of stove-top on top of the chicken.  In a separate bowl mix the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and water.  Pour on top of the stuffing.

Cook on low for 6 hours. Fluff and serve!

*Make sure to use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup!!*

Baby Cereal!

This week was the first time Molly tried baby cereal.

We bought Beechnut Rice Cereal Homestyle. We decided on this brand after researching arsenic in Rice (definitely scary!). This was by far the safest cereal.

After two separate attempts of Molly trying the rice cereal we've decided she just isn't into it. So this week we will be trying Oatmeal Cereal. After researching online, I've decided I am going to make it myself instead of buying it. (I plan on making alot of her baby food.) It's very simple!

I plan on buying Steel-Cut Oats as they are less processed. I will share a recipe after I make it (so I can take some pictures!)

Molly 4 Months Old

I haven't posted monthly updates because to be quite honest it has been a very busy 4 months! I'm not sure how other moms are able to keep up with managing their blog along with the every day chores on top of taking care of a newborn. Personally I had to put the blogging aside for a bit. (Hopefully I will be posting more.) I especially would like to post monthly updates on Molly as the first year is full of milestones!

To my little miss Molly:
It's hard to believe you are already 4 months old. I feel blessed that I have been able to be home and experience this time with you. {It will definitely be hard returning to work in 2 months!} You are growing so quickly. Being that you were premature the doctors have told mommy that you may take longer to reach the milestones that other babies your age are reaching. However, as determined as you are you are already proving them wrong! I'm so proud of you!

Eating: Currently you eat every 3-4 hours (sometimes 1-2 if you are going through a growth spurt.)

Sleeping: Unfortunately you haven't slept through the night yet.. we are hoping this comes soon as mommy would love to get some extra sleep. It can be tiring wake up oh so many times during the night, but it is definitely worth it to see your sweet face.

Weight: 10lbs 3oz

Length: 22 inches

Hair color: Brown

Eye color: Still blue, but I think that will eventually change.

Milestones/Highlights: This past month you have been learning so much! You love playing in your play gym that grammy got you for Christmas. On November 30th you smiled for the first time. (You were almost 3 months old) Mommy was showing you your new red coat and a huge smile crept across your face. The next morning you kept smiling at Pop-pop.

On New Year's Eve, Mommy was folding laundry and you were practicing your tummy time. The next thing we knew you rolled over!!! You were just as surprised as mommy was. The next day every time I put you on your tummy you would roll over. The doctor was very impressed that you did this already!

This month was also when you starting babbling, every day and night! You are just like your mommy and LOVE to talk. And we love to listen!

I am really looking forward to all of the things you are going to learn and do this next month!
