I’m THANKful For My Hometown

Manic Mother

I'm THANKFUL for my Hometown.

I grew up in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. A small town in between Philadelphia and Allentown.

In high school, I was a Pennridge Ram and Friday nights were spent with friends at football games.

Growing up in Perkasie some big events included Perkasie Olde Towne Day and Community Day.

Perkasie Olde Towne Day was once a year.  It was an event where there was a scavenger hunt throughout the shops in town, vendors lined the streets, and history was shared. It was a day that you saw anybody and everyone you knew.

Community Day wasn't much different. There was food, races, contests, and of course... fireworks!

{...and don't forget the baby contest at Community Day}

Perkasie is not a big nor a small town.
It isn't boring but it isn't full of places to go out or things to do.
No famous people originate from there.
And most people never heard of it.

But to me, it's home. And I guess that's all that really matters!
